A lot of modern Westerners think that the only reason people still believe in God is because there are gaps in our knowledge and only God can fill those gaps. 
Believe me, however many religious persons hide behind the things they don't know that they should through science know, the gaps in anyone's knowledge are still huge.
This makes us all like intellectual pigmies in the universe . 

Jacob Bronowski put it well when he was asked by Michael  Parkinson in 1974 
"Why should anyone believe you" ( look it up on You tube ......at the end )  

Believe me there is no deeper chemical and physical question in my mind at the moment than the wonder of water and its place in our world . 

I do not have time enough at the moment to do this statement justice but please ask questions.
