How to avoid cul de sacs
If only we knew how ,
we humans wouldn't be the biggest time wasters on the planet .
So, we are born to explore; to go beyond the snaps and the raps of our mothers ( and fathers should we be so lucky)
How can a mere mother or father know when risk approaches that the approach he she thinks is coming is a real, deep or overcomeable threat .
Human beings are uniquely poised to explore the world , so are we dealing well with it ? Personally 'politically . Have we? have you ?
What fears and what barriers to truth are restricting you?
I came across a lecture yesterday by one great journo called Malcolm Muggeridge who came to accept that he was too busy looking to really see, Too busy seeing, to see through .
I have lived to the day when the public media is sickeningly preoccupied with asking why questions ; merely collecting evidence when 40 years ago i learnt to sieve and see thought it as a means of gaining a career on the cutting edge of science practice .
I have lived to the day when men say they love science but worship an image of science and technology that is shallow , totally incomplete and inadequate .
I have lived to the day when men ask why questions but never wait for an answer .: when science, rhetoric, equation production is done so badly persons inevitably draw conclusions of instruction and inertia that are stifling strangling and wrong - anything but not liberating and workable .
Nearly 40 year ago after shelving his love of reason for a love of bigger things Malcolm wrote .
"Non believers, .. having no recourse but to plumb for facts ,..are stuck with statistics .
Verily those that take to the statistics shall perish through statistics ".
Quoting From Blake
This life's deep windows of the Soul
Distorts the Heavens from pole to pole
And leads you be believe a Lie
when you see with, not thru ', the eye
see through not just with.
